Aluminium body panel-mount power supplies deliver more than 85 percent efficiency
August 09, 2010 | Paul Buckley | 222901307
Delta Electronics has launched a new series of panel-mount power supplies that are specifically designed for harsh environments.
The PMC-series' electronics are protected by a lightweight and corrosion-resistant aluminium enclosure which can withstand shock and vibration according to IEC60068-2. Components tolerate temperature changes from -10 to +70 degrees C, and the series' mean time between failure (MTBF) is 700,000 hours (about 80 years), though Delta Electronics indicates an operating lifetime of ten years.
Delta offers the PMC power supply series in 12 V and 24 V. Power output for 12 V is 35, 50 and 100 W, and for 24 V it is 35, 50, 75, 100 and 150 W. The power supplies are reliably protected against unexpected surges and overloads in the power line, and are also equipped with temperature protection.
Manufacturing quality is confirmed and certified by the Underwriters Laboratories (UL) and the EC Directive 2002/95/EC (RoHS). The PMC-series provides outstanding cost/performance.
The panel-mount power supplies are available with major distributors in their respective regions.
