Gresham offers short lead times for its CompactPCI power supplies

July 29, 2010 | Paul Buckley | 222901273
Gresham offers short lead times for its CompactPCI power supplies Gresham Power Electronics is planning to offer some models of its high efficiency 3U, 250 W CompactPCI power supply range on short lead times.
With worldwide universal AC input, Active Power Factor Correction and better than 81 percent efficiency at 230 VAC input, system designers will appreciate it's space saving dimensions of just 3U high by 8HP wide and 220 mm depth.

Gresham's 250 W cPCI power supply fully conforms to the accepted Compact PCI specifications and offers "hot-swap" connection, output current sharing for N+1 redundant operation and requires no minimum load to function correctly.  Backplane connection is via the standard Positronic 47 pin PICMG 2.11 connector. The power supply is fully safety agency approved to UL, CSA and TUV, is CE marked and conducted EMC meets EN5022 class B and FCC-68, Part-15.

Standard output voltage configuration is 5 VDC@20 A, 3.3 VDC@30 A, +12 VDC@3 A and -12 VDC@0.5 A. Input voltage is "universal" from 85-264 VAC over the frequency range 47-63 Hz and a 48 VDC input version is also available. Full output power is available over a temperature range of -10 to +55 degrees C with 15 CFM of cooling.

Additional standard features include, unlimited duration overload and short circuit protection, over-voltage and over-temperature protection, load sensing on 5 VDC and 3.3 VDC outputs, "enable", "inhibit" and "power good" signals, front panel LED's to indicate output and input power status and I2C data bus for remote monitoring and control.

Jake Moir, MD of Gresham comments; "We have been very successful at supplying a number of major system integrators with CompactPCI products and understand the procurement problems they are currently facing. The upturn in demand is resulting in growing lead-times and we are pleased to be able to offer fast delivery of our 3U, 250 watt product."
