Mains dimmable phase cut LED drivers deliver up to 33W and 700mA
The CoolLED Kompact and CoolLED 40W drivers from Harvard Engineering are aimed at the professional lighting sector, provide a high performance solution for powering high-brightness LEDs from a mains supply. In addition, these high efficiency designed drivers ensure cool operation and long life.
Boasting an efficiency of 85%, the fully-isolated SELV Kompact Driver outputs up to 33W and supports 700mA of current, while the CoolLED 40W driver comes with a 5V auxiliary fan output as standard. The latter is compatible with all major LED modules including Xicato 2000 Lumen XSM and Osram PrevaLED. Active bleed circuitry maintains holding current to ensure a smooth dimming process from below 5% to 100% (dependent on dimmer performance). The units are open and short-circuit protected, self-resetting over temperature trip and operate over the -25 to 50°C temperature range. They are double insulated (Class II) and feature surge protection up to 2kV. 350mA and 500mA versions are in development.
