Stadium Group has acquired the assets of Cable Power, a UK provider of power, custom electronics and single board computers.

The deal follows a number of acquisitions by Stadium to grow in complementary niche technologies. “The acquisition of Cable Power brings complementary bolt-on supply chain products to our portfolio that enhance our offering, primarily in the power products space," said Charlie Peppiatt, CEO of Stadium Group. "There is a great deal of synergy between the product portfolios of our power division Stadium Stontronics and Cable Power, and we work with many of the same customers in the global electronics distribution sector including RS Components, Rapid Electronics, Farnell, CPC and Raspberry Pi.”

This includes mechanical re-packaging of existing items as well as units that need to meet very specific electronic performance requirements, or improvements on an existing design. The division also offers bespoke power supplies to meet specialized industry requirements and has access to a design laboratory including a full climatic test chamber, extended life testing and cycle testing of new designs and a purpose-built RFI test laboratory, including transient and surge testing capability.

“Stadium Stontronics’ extensive range of power products, strong supplier network and established distribution partnerships complements the Cable Power offering, meaning we
